Being and knowing

When did I first begin to be a writer?  I think it started when I first tried to put things in order.  Puzzles.  My grandmother used to keep a jigsaw puzzle set up on a card table in her living room.  People would walk in and do a piece.  I was drawn to that.   Or my first try at a band, when we tried to create a sound.
